Scott Peterson, PT, ATC |
Scott began his education at Ricks College in Rexburg, Idaho where he attended one year before leaving college to serve a 2 year mission for his church. He returned to Ricks College and earned an Associates degree in Health Sciences. He then transferred to the University of Utah in Salt Lake City and continued his studies in sports medicine and athletic training until being accepted into the physical therapy program. He graduated in 1987 with honors earning a Bachelors of Science degree in Physical Therapy.
Following graduation, Scott accepted a position in a large hospital in Las Vegas, but quickly learned that his real interest was in outpatient orthopedics and sports medicine. In 1988, he moved his family to Medford, Oregon where he was involved in a private practice for over 10 years. During that time Scott developed his skills and specialty in orthopedic rehabilitation. Not only was he busy in the clinic, but he gave volunteer time to the local high schools and was part of the athletic training program at Southern Oregon State University. This experience allowed him to sit for the certification exam of the National Athletic Trainer's Association and in June 1996, he gained his certification as an Athletic Trainer.
In September 1998, Scott took a position in Phoenix and moved his family to the Valley of the Sun, He worked for a national rehabilitation company for several years before starting Northwest Orthopedic and Sports Physical Therapy in June 2002. As owner and director of the clinic, he has treated the spectrum of orthopedic conditions but has a special interest in shoulder, knee and total joint rehabilitation.
Scott continues to give his time to the community and volunteers with the sports medicine staff at Dysart and Willow Canyon High Schools. He attends several continuing education seminars per year in an effort to remain current with the fast changing world of rehabilitation. Professionally he is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APT A), the Sports Physical Therapy Section of the APTA, the Arizona Physical Therapy Association, the National Athletic Trainer's Association, and the Arizona Athletic Trainer's Association. He is also a member of the Northwest Valley Chamber of Commerce where he has given his time to serve on committees.
In his spare time, Scott enjoys spending time with his wife and four children, He is active in his Church and enjoys activities such as fishing, golf, and hiking.

Ken Repp, PTA |
Ken is a native of Arizona, yes they do exist. Ken was born and raised in Phoenix and is a graduate of Maryvale High School. After serving a two year church mission in Virginia he began working for a national rehabilitation hospital as a Transportation Tech for the Physical Therapy Dept. From there he decided that this was the field of work he wanted to pursue. With a desire to progress into the Physical Therapy field he took a position as a Physical Therapy Technician in which he worked in several settings including outpatient orthopedics and sports medicine.
Ken began taking pre-requisite course work at Glendale Community College for acceptance into the Physical Therapist Assistant program at GateWay Community College. Ken graduated with an Associates of Applied Science degree in Physical Therapist Assisting with honors in 2001. As part of that program, he completed an honors program course for athletic training. Since graduating, he has been working in outpatient settings treating orthopedic and neurological diagnosis. During this time he has taken several certification courses to further his treatment skills in his profession including Aquatic Instructor for the Arthritis Foundation, participated in the National Amputee Golf Association "First Swing/Learn to Golf Program," Certified in Kinesio Taping Level 2. Ken has also assisted the Athletic Trainer of a local high school for their sporting events which has given him a better understanding of sports injuries. Ken is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA).
Ken is married and is enjoying being a first time Father to a son, and enjoys spending most of his spare time with his family.
Ken also likes all sports and supports all the local pro and college teams in Arizona and has a particular interest in auto racing.
